Alveston Wind Park Open Afternoon for Residents
Jubilee Hall, Alveston
Ecotricity have now completed the construction of the Alveston Wind Park located at the South of Earthcott Green adjacent to the B4427 (Old Gloucester Road). The three turbines are now fully operational and connected to the National Grid.

Following comments from the Parish Council, Ecotricity have decided to host a Wind Park Open Afternoon. This will comprise two guided tours – one at 1.30pm and the other at 3pm – and will be run by 4 or 5 Ecotricity staff members involved in the project.
There will be a limit of 20 individuals per tour for health and safety reasons, as well as parking considerations.
If you would like to attend one of the tours please contact the Parish Clerk by email below, stating which tour you would like to attend and whether you are using your own transport. (If there are sufficient numbers of residents who require transport the Parish Council will provide a taxi minibus to transport residents to the Windfarm (from the Parade subject to numbers booked)).
Closing date for booking a place will be Friday 19th January.
Parking will be available on site by the hardstanding adjacent to the wind turbine closest to the Old Gloucester Road. As drivers enter the gate off the road they should stay to the right and follow the track round to the turbine base area.
