10.15am: Alveston Twinning Sunday Walk

We meet on the 2nd Sunday of alternate months, e.g. April, June, August. Walks are usually between 4 and 6 miles, usually ending at a pub. Numbers have recently increased and we now have between 14 and 18. New members are always welcome; contact any committee member if you have an interest.

11th December - Russ and Valerie Fergyson. Led by Russ (Valerie will hopefully had her hip op a few days before).

Meet: Lych Gate at St Mary’s Church, Almondsbury
Time: 10.15 for a 10.30 start. The walk is around 2 ½ hours.
Terrain: Country roads and some grass. Steps and some slight up hill.

After the walk, a well deserved soup will be served at Orchard Cottage, Thornbury Road, Alveston.

About Alveston Twinning Association

Alveston has been twinned with Courville-sur-Eure in North Central France since 1987.

The Twinning Association is an enthusiastic group of mixed ages, who enjoy fun, laughter and socialising.

Our mission is to have fun and continue to attract like-minded families who want to explore another nation's culture and investigate their own country.

We hold fund-raising events, quizzes, barbeques, camping and caravanning weekends, and visits to local attractions such as cider-tasting or a tour of Highgrove.

Alveston Twinning Association

We fund-raise to host our French guests, and on our return they host us.

The Twinning Association organises regular exchange visits: Courville will visit Alveston for August Bank Holiday Weekend 2014.
