Alveston has been twinned with Courville-sur-Eure in North Central France since 1987.
The Twinning Association is an enthusiastic group of mixed ages, who enjoy fun, laughter and socialising.
Our mission is to have fun and continue to attract like-minded families who want to explore another nation's culture and investigate their own country.
We hold fund-raising events, quizzes, barbeques, camping and caravanning weekends, and visits to local attractions such as cider-tasting or a tour of Highgrove.
We fund-raise to host our French guests, and on our return they host us.
The Twinning Association organises regular exchange visits: Courville will visit Alveston for August Bank Holiday Weekend 2014.
If you would like to join the Association and take part in this great weekend, please contact any of the above committee members.
