OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE

HELD ON 1st October 2007 AT 7.00 p.m. in the Jubilee Hall.

3    Planning Applications:

 

PT07/2582/F       Severn View Davids Lane           Demmolition of existing dwelling and garage

                                                                                      to facilitate the erection of 4 dwellings and

                                                                                      garages with associated works

                                                                                      Resubmission of PT06/3358.

The application was objected to on similar grounds as before as being unsuitable for the area. Another objection was includes from the ‘Development in the green belt’ booklet issued by SG in June this year, relating to demolition of existing dwellings  quoting part of the paragraph ‘ the council will need to be satisfied that the dwelling is beyond repair and that it has not been abandoned as a dwelling’.

 

PT07/2697/F       Grove House Silver Hill Brake    Erection of a rear conservatory.

 

The application was not objected to on the grounds which the committee usually considers,

The conservatory is at the rear and there are no other property to be affected by the conservatory.

 

PT07/2890/F       28 Green hill Road Alveston. Erection of first floor side extension to

                                                                                      provide additional living accommodation.

          No objection to the above.

 

4 Planning Permissions Granted: -

 

         PT07/2088/F       Ship Inn Thornbury Rd                        Erection of 2no. retractable canopies to

         PT07/2206/F       10 Greenhill Road Alveston               Erection of 1no. rear dormer to provide

         PT07/2219/TRE  1 Bridle Way Alveston.                       Works to 1no. Silver Birch tree to reduce

                                                                                                     by 20% volume .

        

         PT07/2250/F       6 West View Alveston.                       Erection of single storey extension to form

                                                                                                     additional living accommodation.

 

         PT07/2283/F       Hillcrest Gloucestershire Road         Erection of 2 storey rear extension to

                                                                                                     provide additional living accommodation.

 

         PT07/2358/TRE  47 Wolfridge Ride Alveston.             Works to lop 2 no. Beech trees.

 

         PT07/2487/F       15 Beech Leaze Alveston.                Erection of single storey side extension to

                                                                                                     provide additional living accommodation.

The council did not object t the above.

               PT07/2354/RVC                                 Bristol Memorial Woodlands      Variation of condition 5 attached to planning

                                                                                                permission PT04/0222/F dated 02 April 2004

                                                                                                to allow the temporary use of land up to 28

                                                                                                days a year.  

 

               PT07/2359/F 64 Gloucester Road Rudgeway   Erection of 1no. detached dwelling with new

                                                                                                access and associated works.

         The council had objected to both these applications.

9. Representation at Planning Meetings.        

 

Street trading application for extended hours to Simply Delicious, there is a hearing on 25th Sept. The papers indicate the license will be allowed. The council’s point of hygiene has been dealt with. Applicant has written consent to use nearby residential premises.

Permit for one year granted.

 

 

10. Enforcement.

           

There are a number of plastic signs attaché to railings, walls and buildings at the traffic lights at the junction of the A38 and Thornbury Road. The clerk is to seek clarification of the permissions garanted to the Ship, Alveston House Hotel and Berkeley Vale Motors.
